Alif Security LLC installed a comprehensive security system for Mt Rose COGIC, City of Refuge. This system included: Access Control Installation of hardware: We installed a 142-zone access control system, including a 350 gray enclosure, a 50 VA transformer, a DMP Access Control Module, a Keyfob Metal Rim Key Tag, an Altronix Power Supply/Charger Kit, and necessary cabling. Door hardware installation: We installed electric crash bars and connected them to the system. Programming and activation: We programmed the system and activated it for use. CCTV System Network infrastructure: We installed an Axis 8port Network POE Switch to support the network cameras. NVR and storage: We installed a 32-channel NVR with a 20TB HDD for video recording and playback. Camera installation: We installed a variety of cameras, including panoramic network cameras, fisheye network cameras, and IP dome cameras, to provide comprehensive coverage of the facility. Cabling: We installed CAT6e Solid blue PVC cable to connect the cameras and other components. Our services included: Fire Alarm System System Design and Installation: We installed a 50-point addressable fire panel with a Fire-Lite LCD annunciator and an 80-character serial LCD annunciator. Detection and Notification: We installed smoke detectors, pull stations, and horn/strobe devices throughout the facility. Communication and Monitoring: A Verizon LTE X1 cellular communicator was installed to provide reliable communication and monitoring. First things first, we had to get the place wired up for cameras. So we ran all the cables needed for a 16-camera system. That was a bit of a haul, but we got it done. Next up was the access control system. We installed a beefy multi-door controller to handle all the entry points. Then there were the electric strikes – they replace the old-school door locks. We put those on, along with the card readers and buttons. We also had to deal with a tricky situation at the front and back doors. The cables for the access control and cameras were in the way, so we had to reroute them through the top of the wall. It was a bit of a puzzle, but we got it sorted. We ended up dropping the card reader and the button on the right side of the door and fished the wires through the header. To connect everything to the internet, we set up a wireless bridge. That was a bit of a specialized piece of equipment, but it was necessary to get the system online. All in all, it was a pretty big job, but we got it done. The place is much more secure now.
